Veteran actor Avinash Kharshikar passed away at 10:30 am today due to an heart attack at his residence in Thane. He was 74 years old and was not keeping well since 5th August.
Avinash Kharshikar started his career in the year 1978. He is an Actor and Executive Producer in marathi film industry. He has contributed as an actor in Marathi cinema with the films like Sau. Sashi Deodhar, Lapwa Chhapwi, Chamatkar and Kiss Bai Kiss. Kharshikar also contributed as an executive producer with the films Bakula Namdev Ghotale and Majha Navra Tujhi Bayko. He was also National Award-winning singer.
Actors Renuka Shahane and Siddharth Jadhav took to twiiter to condole the veteran actor.
