The eleventh season of The Division 2 was about to launch, but it has since been postponed. The good news is that The Division 2 still appears to be in a decent spot, so players will only need to wait a little while longer.

The Division 2, which debuted in 2019, has now gotten an expansion pack and 10 seasons’ worth of content. After being an exclusivity for Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store for years, The Division 2 was finally made available on Steam last month. The title of the tenth season, “The Price of Power,” debuted on those other platforms on September 13, 2022. Along with other enhancements, it came with new equipment and weapons. Season 11 was due to launch on February 7, but that is no longer the case.

The Division 2’s development team tweeted about the postponement of Season 11’s anticipated February 7 release. Several delays in the localization process were given as the cause in the tweet, which also highlighted that no new release date has been determined but will be shared as soon as one is. It is not yet known how the delay would impact the plans that were initially revealed when Ubisoft unveiled year 5 DLC for The Division 2.

A myriad of problems has recently plagued Ubisoft’s development studios. Ubisoft has cancelled seven games in as many months, and some of its most anticipated upcoming releases seem to be in peril. Although the firm is still devoted to several exciting releases, some of the excitement that once surrounded Ubisoft’s regular releases seems to have vanished.

Since previous titles like Ghost Recon Frontline were cancelled, there is reason to believe that the team behind The Division 2 will be able to resolve the localization challenges and maintain the game and its fresh content for some time.

Ubisoft continues to have a tonne of content planned, despite the cancellations and delays. Fans are anticipating new games in the Far Cry and Assassin’s Creed series after Ubisoft revealed The Crew: Motorfest, which is scheduled for release later in 2023.

The Division 2 may still have a fruitful and thrilling future. It is a tiny price to pay if a slight delay increases the likelihood that the game and its players will see that future. After all, even without access to the “Reign of Fire” that the new season’s title promises, there is still a lot to do in the game’s depiction of mayhem in Washington, D.C.
