In the fresh updates on Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, the AIIMS panel has dismissed claims of “poisoning and strangling” as Dr Gupta claimed that the panel did not find any trace of poison and drugs in the viscera of the late actor. Now, as it is declared by the AIIMS that the case was of suicide and not homicide, Swara Bhasker has called for the release of Rhea Chakraborty.
The actress took to Twitter as she stands with the views of Congress MP in Lok Sabha, Adhir Chowdhury who tweeted demanding release of Rhea. Swara wrote, “Well done sir!” and used the hashtag “Release Rhea Chakraborty.”
In his tweet, the Congress leader had wrote, ‘We are all pained by the expiry of Sushant ji but he cannot be honoured by falsely implicating a lady as an accused, I have earlier said that Rhea Chakraborty was an innocent lady, she should be released without further harassment to her, she has been the victim of Political conspiracy.’
In its conclusive medico-legal opinion to the CBI, the six-member team dismissed the claims of “poisoning and strangling”, with Dr Gupta saying the panel did not find any trace of poison and drugs in the viscera and so Swara Bhasker is of the opinion that Rhea Chakraborty should be released.
But it seems like netizens took on the initiative to clear Swara’s misunderstanding. Yes you read it right, after the actress tweeted demanding the release of Rhea, several people took it to the comments section explaining her that Rhea Chakraborty is under judicial custody for her connection with the drugs angle in the Sushant Singh Rajput case and that has nothing to do with the AIIMS report. One user even suggested Swara to understand the matter and that its okay for politicians to write such things but this is not expected from her!
Netizens tried clearing the confusion that Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in charges of consumption and procurement of drugs. The late actor’s girlfriend is lodged in the Byculla jail after she agreed of the drug charges alleged on her.
Meanwhile, the Bombay High Court will be hearing the bail pleas of actor Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik, who have been lodged in jail for over 4 weeks now. The High Court is expected to give its orders next week.
