Sushant Singh Rajput’s family decide to go to Court against AIIMS panel who performed the autopsy

Sushant Singh Rajput’s family has said that they will be approaching the Court if AIIMS doesn’t assign a new team of forensic experts.

The autopsy of Sushant Singh Rajput‘s body was performed by a panel of AIIMS doctors led by Dr Sudhir Gupta. The autopsy has been under suspicion ever since leaked audio of Dr Gupta has made its rounds in various newsrooms in which he can be heard saying that the reason behind the late actor’s death is murder, however, in the autopsy report prepared by the AIIMS panel, the angle of poison has been scratched off. Despite not having any say on the angle of homicide, the postpartum report stays under suspicion with a big question mark hanging on top of it.

The lawyer of SSR’s family, Vikas Singh spoke to the reporters today evening, revealed that the family is alleging the panel of doctors of negligence who ruled out the reason of death as a suicide, in the month of June and are demanding a new panel of doctors to examine the remaining forensic evidence. He further said that “If the CBI doesn’t take action, we will go to the court and demand a new team of forensic experts. We want a proper medical judgement and not the kind which can’t serve justice”. He stated that Dr Gupta has infringed the norms of medical guidelines and ethics by coming in front of the Television and claiming the reason for death as a suicide.

A panel of doctors from AIIMS Delhi said that Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his residence in 14th June, stating the reason for death as a suicide and not murder. However,  Dr Gupta’s audio has raised questions on the integrity of the autopsy report as well as the skills of the members of the panel of his team.
