KK Singh, father of Sushant Singh Rajput accused Rhea Chakraborty for his son’s suicide case after depression theories were going around. India Today has exclusively accessed KK Singh’s statement to Mumbai Police after SSR’s death which was recorded in June where his father opens up that Sushant has never discussed about his depression to him. KK Singh also revealed that he didn’t say anything after the late actor’s death because he felt sorry for his son.
Here is the detailed statement of KK Singh given to Mumbai Police:
“My son Sushant Singh Rajput has come to Patna on 13th May, 2019 for the Mundan ceremony. It was the day of Sushant’s Mundan when he met me. The Mundan ceremony was on 15th May, 2019 and he was not tensed in any way. Sushant went back to Mumbai on 16th May, 2019.
I used to message Sushant on WhatsApp and he used to reply. I didn’t used to call him much, as he used to be busy in work. Sushant used to call me and we would have a chat. Sushant has called and asked if I needed anything. At that time, I asked him how are you and he replied that he was well.
After that Sushant called me on 7th June, 2020 and I told him, “It has been a year since you came to Patna. Come to Patna if you want to”. To that he replied, “Let me see, I am not feeling well. I would come once I am well”.
On 14th June, 2020 when I was sitting in my home in Patna, I learned that Sushant had committed suicide by hanging himself on the ceiling fan through the news on TV from 14:15- 14:30 hours.
After that I became unconscious after feeling dizzy. I came to Mumbai with my nephew, Mr Neeraj Singh, and my relatives on 15th June, 2020 through a flight from Patna. We carried out final rites of my son Sushant at Vile Parle on the date 15th June, 2020 from 17:00-18:00.
After that I came to Sushant’s flat which he had taken on rent in Bandra. I didn’t say anything to anybody nor I asked anything as I was feeling sorry for Sushant. I am not aware as to why my son Sushant has committed suicide. He never discussed with me regarding anything any type of depression or tension”.
Currently the Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case is investigated by CBI and KK Singh accused Rhea on 25th July, 2020.
