As per the recent updates, the forensic sources investigating the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, have turned down the reports claiming the murder angle has been ruled out.
Earlier the claims were made that the forensic sources had ruled out the murder angle and that the investigation was now done only on the suicide angle. The sources gave a confirmation to Republic Network that the murder angle is not dismissed and that the claims are totally false. AIIMS forensic HoD Dr. Sudhir Gupta, who is leading the forensic team stated that the possibility of murder needs to be examined. “We will look into the possibility of murder. However, all probable angles will be thoroughly examined,” he said. The team will analyse the injury pattern on Sushant’s body and match it with circumstantial evidences.
CBI had approached the forensic department of the AIIMS for its medico-legal opinion in the case. This took place after the investigation agency raised doubts on the autopsy report of the late actor which revealed the doctors at Cooper Hospital had ‘failed to give substantial answers’ to the CBI’s questions. According to the CBI, the autopsy report was allegedly ‘botched’ up and the report was ‘misleading’.
The CBI also raised questions on why important details like the time of death is missing from the report.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his house in Mumbai’s Bandra on June 14. Earlier his death was claimed to be a suicide with Mumbai Police’s autopsy report even stating that there was no foul play. However, there were too many loop holes that came into notice after Sushant’s father filed the first FIR accusing Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty for abetment of suicide.
Soon after, the Enforcement Directorate registered a case of money laundering and interrogated Rhea and four other people named in the FIR. ED’s investigation excavated a narcotics angle in the case, with the Narcotics Control Bureau registering another case in the matter, investigating the drug nexus in Bollywood and particularly in connection with Rhea Chakraborty and Sushant’s death.
