Everyday there is a new development and angle to Sushant Singh Rajput‘s case. After CBI took over the investigation earlier this month, they have been grilling people close to the late actor. Now, the new reports suggests that CBI will summon Rhea Chakraborty today i.e. 28th August, 2020 for inquiry at DRDO guest house, where the team is currently staying. The 28-year old actress has been accused of playing a role in Sushant’s death. The late actor’s father filed an FIR against her on the ground of abetment to suicide, mentally harassing the actor and money laundering.
Rhea’s brother Showik Chakraborty was questioned for 14 hours by CBI yesterday, until midnight. Both the brother-sister duo has been accused of money laundering as they were a part of the company that Sushant started.
Yesterday, Rhea went on India Today, to give her interview. In that interview, she broke her silence on different accusations made on her. She said, she felt “broken” after such heinous allegations. She said, “My family is being treated like terrorists… Tomorrow if something happens to us because of the media pressure … I am part of three investigations, all I have left is my spirit. That is also being crushed.”
On the other hand, Enforcement Directorate who is working on the money laundering angle checked Rhea’s father Indrajit Chakraborty’s bank lockers for six hours yesterday after questioning him. Narcotics Central Bureau stepped into the investigation when the drug angle came into play. It all started after few Whatsapp chats were revealed in which Rhea is seen asking people about drugs. Jaya Saha, who is the manager of the actress has also said words like, “Use 4 drops in coffee, tea or water, and let him sip it. Give it 30 – 40 mins for it to kick in.”
Now in the interview, Rhea rubbished the usage of drugs and told the news portal, “I have never taken drugs in my life and I don’t know any drug dealer.”
