On 14th June 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Bandra apartment. Various reports say that the late actor was allegedly suffering from depression and other mental illness since past 6 months. Specifically after November 2019 he went to a trip with his then girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty. Many of the staff members and workers who worked with Sushant, reported to various media houses that after Rhea entered the late actor’s life, his behavior started changing. Now, India Today revealed the details about this trip with Rhea and what changed him after their holiday. Rhea Chakraborty has reportedly told the officials that, in October 2019, the couple was holidaying at Florence in Italy in, where she, for the first time, witnessed Sushant was being affected due to mental illness.
India Today reported that, as per sources, the couple were staying in a 600 year old heritage hotel in Europe. In that hotel, there was a painting where Saturn was devouring it’s own child. Rhea and her brother Showik were in another room, and found out that Sushant was chanting some mantras and was shaken after seeing that painting. Sushant said that he could see the characters but was unable to describe it after Rhea asked him what had happened. The actress later told him that it was just hallucinations and she consoled him that night.
However, the portal further mentioned that Rhea, Showik and Sushant headed to Austria and went to detox center. They further cut short their trip and came back to Mumbai. Sushant’s condition got even worse after the trip. Rhea claimed that the late actor would start screaming and shouting out of nowhere, and sometimes he even started crying. Later, Susan Walker – Sushant’s psychotherapist – claimed it to be bipolar disorder. On the other hand, Rhea who has been with him throughout said he slipped into depression as well. Due to which, Sushant asked her to go back home which happened on June 8, as put together in India Today report.
The report further states that not only did he went into depression, even Rhea visited a psychiatrist for herself. According to the same report in India Today, On 10th June, Sushant even texted Rhea’s brother to ask him about her health.
