Coronavirus has created the most baleful conditions across the globe. It has hit the lives and livelihoods of people. Everyone is suffering, mostly economically, as the pandemic has hit hard on everyone’s pocket. With surging unemployment and economic crisis, many industries are suffering. And the entertainment industry amidst all these as shootings are stalled and no film is releasing either.
The entertainment industry workers and other crew members are waiting eagerly for the shoot to get resume as they are left with nothing to earn out of. The new guidelines which say that production houses have to work with the limited crew have created more tension amongst them.
A source revealed to an entertainment portal, “The channels are in a huge dilemma with no new content to offer. With businesses taking a huge slump, the channels have informed production houses except for flagship shows to take a 30 per cent cut on their production cost, work on less staff once shooting resumes.” Ahead of this, makers are most likely to reduce payments. They will ask actors to take a pay cut.
Everyone is hoping to resume shooting as soon as possible but to get things back on track or even to get used to the new normal, it will take a lot of time and the loss is just irreversible.
