Disha Salian, who was the former manager of Sushant Singh Rajput died on 8th June, 2020. Within few days, the late actor committed suicide in his Bandra apartment. Now, in the new development of Disha’s case, Borivali magistrate has allowed Mumbai Police to question Punit Vashishtha, Director Sandeep Malan and YouTuber Naman Sharma. The Malwani Police registered a defamation case against the three for posting negative content for the manager.
According to a report on Mid-Day, the court granted the cops permission to grill the trio on the case. The police have reportedly summoned the three and asked them to appear for questioning in the next couple of days. It so happened that after Disha’s death, people used the social media to spread fake rumours and post derogatory content against her.
Disha’s father Satish Salian demanded action against the people who were defaming his daughter. Police went on to ask people close to Disha about her information and asked them to talk, if they knew something about the manager. Not only this, they warned the people spreading wrong information that action will be taken against them.
Punit went on to realise and acknowledge the mistake he did by linking Disha and Sushant’s case. He said that the content was sent to him by someone else. He later deleted the post and said“I apologise to Disha’s parents for it and I have done the same on social media as well.”
On the other hand, Director Sandeep Malan rubbishes the accusation and calls it ‘baseless’ and ‘untrue.’ He said that he used to post content related to Sushant and not Disha. He also revealed that no official summon has reached him and he is ready to help the police in the investigation.
