Veteran actress Jaya Bacchan who is also a MP from Samajwadi Party had expressed her staunch views after Ravi Kishan’s comment of drug links in the film industry. In her statement, actress had commented on the people in the Bollywood who have made their careers in films and are defaming the same industry by using a famous Hindi proverb- ‘Jis Thaali Me Khaate hai, Usmein Cheed Karte Hai’. Talking about the same comment, actor Mukesh Khanna slammed the actress saying ‘You have not given us work, everyone works hard.’
Not happy with Jaya Bacchan’s statement Mukesh Khanna in an interview with Times Now said, “If anybody feels uncomfortable of this investigation to be done for drugs, if a person like Ravi Kishan says ‘drugs chalti hai’ and then somebody says ‘jis thaali mein khaate ho usi mein ched karte hai’, it is ridiculous to say. You say whether he is right or wrong. You have not given us the food. Everyone works hard,” as put by ETimes. Jaya Bacchan’s usage of the particular Hindi saying got attention of entire B-Town where a lot of actors backed her up and a few critisized too including Kangana Ranaut and Ranvir Shorey who linked it to the on-going nepotism debate.
