Kshitij Ravi Prasad who is identified as executive producer of Dharma Productions, was detained on Friday after a day-long questioning. On 25th of September the NCB team had conducted raids at Kshitij’s Versova residence and had seized drugs from his house. As per the recent updates by ANI, after 24 hours of holding him back, Kshitij has been finally arrested by the NCB.

According to CNN-News18, NCB sources told them, Kshitij Ravi Prasad has been evasive to most questions and hence his custodial interrogation is important says NCB Zonal Unit. He was asked about his association with Ankush Arenja, who runs a high profile kitchen in south Mumbai. Ankush already been arrested. Ankush was selling chemicals such as MDMA and weed to some high profile individuals including businessmen. Apparently some of these high profile individuals were buying drugs through Kshitij. He has claimed to be an occasional consumer of marijuana for recreational purposes.

Kshitij Ravi Prasad was summoned by the agency to join in the investigation and was going to be probed into the drug connection linked to the Bollywood.

On Friday, the owner of Dharma Production, Karan Johar shared an official statement stating Kshitij is not his close aid and he doesn’t know him personally. “Mr. Kshitij Ravi Prasad joined Dharmatic Entertainment (sister concern of Dharma Productions) in November 2019 as one of the executive producers on contract basis for a project which eventually did not materialise,” the filmmaker mentioned in the official statement.
