Actress Meera Chopra conducted an ‘Ask Meera’ session on twitter where she answered a bunch of questions asked by her fans. Somebody asked Priyanka Chopra’s cousin Meera about South Superstar Junior NTR. Meera replying to which said that she doesn’t know him. No sooner did she say that she started receiving lewd messages and threats of gang rape, acid attack and more.
“As soon as I said that, I was bombarded with abuses, murder threats, rape threats, character assassination and threats against my parents. Some morphed my face with porn actors. I’ve got close to 30,000 abusive tweets so far” said Meera
Meera took to her twitter to seek help from Hyderabad police after she being targeted by Jr. NTR’s fans and their threats. Meera also tweeted to the National Commission for Women (NCW) about the abusive comments and threats. On which Rekha Sharma, Commission Chairperson responded by urging Telangana police to act

Hyderabad police have reacted to Meera’s complaint and have registered a case against the fans of Jr.NTR who sent threatening and disrespectful messages to the actor.
Indian Penal Code’s sections 506 (criminal intimidation), and 509 (insulting the modesty of a woman) and section 67 of the Information Technology Act, were put on, as informed by Assistant Commissioner of Police K.V.N. Prasad. The process of identifying the accused is underway.
