A comedy fantasy movie, Bruce Almighty revolves around the life of Bruce Nolan, a field reporter for Eyewitness News in New York, with a strong desire of becoming a successful news anchor.
One day, after being insulted by one of his fellow reporters and rival, Evan Baxter, and after an unfortunate incident, Nola was fired from the news station. Heartbroken by the misfortune, Nolan, questions the existence of God and complains that his rival Evan should be the one to get fired and not him.
Surprisingly, his outburst leads to the meeting of Nolan with none other than God itself, who offered Nolan his powers to prove that he is doing his job properly, but with a condition. The condition is that Nolan is not supposed to tell anyone about the interaction between him and god and also about the superpowers.
Nolan was also not allowed to use the superpowers for his own personal greed and benefits, not caring about the promise shared between himself and the god, Nolan initially used the powers for his personal profits such as getting his job back, getting his rival fired, and also impressing his girlfriend, Grace Connelly.
