Kshitij Ravi Prasad, a former associate of Dharma Productions, has been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), on 26th September, for allegedly being a part of the drug network of Bollywood, which was revealed during the investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput‘s suicide case. However, he has been holding his ground firm claiming that he is being ‘framed’ to be a part of the drug nexus amidst Bollywood.
As soon as he was arrested, a Times Now reporter approached him and asked for comments on his arrest, to which he simply and firmly replied, “I am being framed.” The producer was detained by the NCB officials on Friday, i.e. 25th September, for interrogation regarding his connection to the drug cartel, which has recently come under the light. NCB even found drugs at his Versova house. The owner of Dharma Productions, Karan Johar, has issued a statement claiming that Kshitij had no association with the organisation.
Karan Johar stated that Kshitij joined Dharmatic Entertainment, which is a sister concern of Dharma Productions in the month of November 2019 as one of the executive producers on a contract basis, for a project which couldn’t even begin. Along with Kshitij’s interrogation, Deepika Padukone was also summoned by the NCB officials and Rakul Preet Singh has already had her statement recorded by the Special Investigative Team (SIT) on Friday.
