The gamers will be able to play as Tim Goodman and probe around to solve cases, aided by Detective Pikachu. The game will be available on October 6, 2023. Mewtwo makes a cameo in the trailer, which means he will play a role in the narration of the game.
Detective Pikachu Returns depicts Rhyme City with even more animals than the first. Cinderance from Sword and Shield can be seen in the game trailer. The new game depicts interesting interactions between wildlife and humans.
The 2019 Detective Pikachu film followed the same premise as the game while providing a fresh perspective. The plot revolves around Tim Goodman, who arrives in Rhyme City after learning about his father, Harry,’s, strange death. He comes across his father chatting to Pikachu, only to discover that he is the only human who can communicate with Pikachu.
The two then decide to embark on an excursion to solve the mystery of Harry’s death. Detective Pikachu is voiced by actor Ryan Reynolds and Justice Smith plays Tim.
