Chhaava is showing no signs of slowing down. The movie with Vicky Kaushal in lead has crossed the Rs. 350 crore mark at the box office.
On day 12 of its release, the historical drama earned Rs. 18 crore at the ticket window, as per a report by Sacnilk. With this, the film’s total collection now stands at Rs. 363.25 crore. Additionally, the film has recorded an occupancy rate of 23.74% in the Hindi market on its second Tuesday, as mentioned the report.
Chhaava, directed by Laxman Utekar, portrays Vicky playing the lead role of Maratha warrior king, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of Maratha Empire. The movie also features Rashmika Mandanna, who is playing the role of his wife, Maharani Yesubai, and Akshaye Khanna, playing the role of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Apart from them, the film also features Ashutosh Rana and Divya Dutta in supporting roles.
Chhaava is bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan under his banner Maddock Films.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Vicky is currently working on his romantic drama by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Love & War. The movie shall not only mark his first collaboration with the director, but also with Ranbir Kapoor. Alia Bhatt will feature as female lead in the movie.
