Sushant Singh Rajput’s death investigation was taken over by the Enforcement Directorate who also interrogated the late actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, her father Indrajit Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty, her manager Shruti Modi and Sushant’s roommate Siddharth Pithani. Now, as per Times Now, CBI also started with their interrogation.
According to the Times Now report, Sushant’s father KK Singh and sister recorded their statements with the CBI. They claimed that Sushant’s death was not a suicide, it was a murder. The family member’s statements were recorded in Faridabad. In the month of July, Sushant’s father had lodged an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and her family members for abatement of suicide. Times Now report quoted the family members of Sushant as saying, “Looking at the present circumstances it appears that it is a case of murder hence the CBI should look into this case as an aspect of murder not as an abetment to suicide.”
In his FIR, KK Singh had accused Rhea and her family of theft, blackmailing, exploitation and harassment among many other charges. Meanwhile, Rhea has also filed a petition in the Supreme Court. She filed an 11-page affidavit and called this case as ‘being blown out of proportion’ because of Bihar Elections’.
