Rhea Chakraborty has been granted bail in drug nexus case after a month.
In Sushant Singh Rajput’s case, Rhea Chakraborty has been granted bail after a month. After her arrest over on drugs charges. Her brother Showik Chakraborty has been denied any spare by the Bombay High Court.
SSR’s employees Dilesh Sawant and Samuel Miranda have also been granted bail in the SSR death case. Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde said, ” We are delighted by the order. Truth and Justice have prevailed and ultimately the submission on facts and law have been accepted by Justice Sarang V Kotwal”.
Rhea Chakraborty was arrested on September 8 by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on the charges of supplying drugs to SSR. She was also announced to be an active member of a drug syndicate and also financing drugs used by Sushant. In her bail petition, Rhea said that she and her brother were sole targets of a witch-hunt by multiple agencies who had found no evidence incriminating her in the case. Rhea was granted bail on her personal bond of Rs.1Lakh. Bombay High Court has rejected the bail petition of her brother Showik, he has to remain in judicial custody.
