On 19 August ’20, Wednesday morning, the Supreme Court pronounced its verdict granting the CBI probe in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
Now, according to ANI, the CBI team will soon be arriving at Mumbai in order to investigate the matter as the apex court has asked Mumbai police to hand over all evidence collected to the investigating agency.
Also, according to the reports, the BMC commissioner has stated that the CBI team will have to send an email if they wish to get exemption from quarantine if they are coming for more than seven days. He also assured they will be exempted if they apply for it. He said, “If CBI team comes for 7 days they’ll be automatically exempted from quarantine if carrying confirmed return ticket, as per MCGM’s existing quarantine guidelines. If they come for more than 7 days they’ve to apply for exemption via our email id, we’ll exempt them.”
Besides this, when Maharashtra’s Home Minister Anil Deshmukh was asked about Mumbai Police conducting a parallel investigation, he responded saying “The state government will think as per paragraph 34 of the Supreme Court order.”
