On August 5, Supreme Court gave its verdict on Rhea Chakraborty’s petition of shifting Sushant Singh Rajput’s case investigation from Bihar police to Mumbai. Meanwhile, the Centre approved the Bihar government’s request for the CBI probe. The Supreme Court on the other hand also refused to grant protection to Rhea. The single-member Supreme Court bench, which was led by Justice Hrishikesh Roy, has given the Maharashtra government and police three days to share all details in regard to the probe on Bollywood actor Sushant’s demise.
Now, the Bihar DGP, Gupteshwar Pandey, gave a statement to ANI, saying that Rhea Chakraborty is ‘absconding’ and is not ‘coming forward’ ever since the SC’s judgement has been out. Gupteshwar Pandey also revealed they have no information about the actress being in touch with the Mumbai police either. “Rhea Chakraborty is not in touch with us. She is absconding, she is not coming forward. We don’t have any information about she being in touch with even Mumbai police,” said the police official to ANI.
On being asked about IPS Officer Vinay Tiwari, who has been quarantined in Mumbai, the DGP of Bihar said, “We requested BMC to exempt IPS officer Vinay Tiwari from being quarantined. We told them at least send him back as he is an IPS officer. This is not a professional behaviour. This officer is being kept as if he has been arrested.”

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has also questioned the BMC’s decision of quarantining Vinay Tiwari, who came to Mumbai to lead Bihar Police’s investigation on Sushant’s death.
