Ali Abbas Zafar has released an action comedy film titled Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, commonly known as BMCM. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Sonakshi Sinhi, Manushi Chhillar, Alaya F, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Ronit Roy.
The public has been eager to witness Tiger Shroff and Akshay Kumar collaborate on a huge screen since the film’s announcement. However, after seeing the trailer, the crowd became even more excited to see Prithviraj Sukumaran play the masked villain.
On the other side, Maidaan stars Ajay Devgn, Priya Mani, and Gajraj Rao. The film is directed by Amit Sharma. Maidaan is more than just a film; it is a monument to Syed Abdul Rahim, an Indian football coach and manager of the India national team from 1950 until his death in 1963. He was also a former player. He is considered the creator of contemporary Indian football, and his time period is renowned as the golden age of Indian football history.
Both Maidaan and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan were scheduled to be released on April 10th, but the dates were pushed back, and they were eventually released on April 11th. It appears that the clash was predictable.
BMCM had a far stronger beginning than Maidaan because the crowd was eager to see the action comedy featuring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.
While the audience has praised both films, we will now discuss the business aspects of the films.
BMCM’s opening day collection was Rs 36.33 crore worldwide. On the other hand, Maidaan earned Rs 15 crore internationally. Maidaan also had a paid peek on April 10th.
It’s been a little more than a week since both films were released, and on day 9, BMCM got Rs 1.5 crore while Maidaan collected Rs 1.4 crore. When it comes to global collections, BMCM collected roughly Rs 87 crore while Maidaan collected around Rs 41 crore.
Day 9 was a working day, and it appears like BMCM remains slightly ahead in terms of collections. BMCM collections have been consistent for a long time, whereas Maidaan collections follow a different pattern, with collections rising somewhat on weekends.
However, things will change now that new films have been released, and collections will be significantly impacted.
