Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar and her sister Samiksha Pednekar recently found themselves at the receiving end of online criticism when a troll accused them of undergoing plastic surgery. However, Samiksha didn’t hesitate to clap back at the troll with some quick-witted responses, putting an end to the baseless accusations.
Bhumi, known for her stellar performances in various films, often shares glimpses of her life on social media. However, she has been subjected to criticism and trolling, particularly regarding her fashion choices and appearance. This isn’t the first time Bhumi has faced allegations of cosmetic enhancements, but this time, her sister decided to address the issue head-on.
In a recent video shared by Samiksha on Instagram, the sisters can be seen applying lipstick and doing final touch-ups while dressed in traditional attire. “Me and my best friend,” Samiksha captioned the video. (https://www.instagram.com/reel/C5pnxFuIe2N/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=loading)
The lighthearted moment turned sour when a user commented, “This is what happens we have the same surgeon, we can’t differentiate both of them.”
Samiksha, unfazed by the troll’s comment, responded with a witty comeback, “Or same parents? Maybe?” Her sharp retort shut down the accusation while highlighting the absurdity of the plastic surgery claim.
Another user chimed in with a derogatory remark, “Life in plastic it’s so fantastic.” Samiksha’s response was quick and cutting, “What plastic?”
The sisters’ bond and Samiksha’s unapologetic defense of her sister garnered praise from their followers, who appreciated her stand against online negativity.
While Bhumi has made her mark in Bollywood with critically acclaimed performances, Samiksha has chosen to stay away from the limelight of the film industry. However, she often accompanies Bhumi to various events and parties, showcasing their strong sisterly bond.
Aside from shutting down trolls, Samiksha keeps her fans entertained by sharing pictures and videos of her moments with Bhumi on social media.
Meanwhile, Bhumi has an exciting lineup of projects in the pipeline. After her recent release “Bhakshak,” she is set to star opposite Arjun Kapoor in “Mere Husband Ki Biwi,” directed by Mudassar Aziz. Additionally, she will make her web series debut in “Daldal,” portraying the role of a cop pursuing a serial killer in Mumbai.
