Ankita Lokhande dismisses rumours of rejecting Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year 3

In recent days, rumours have been circulating claiming that Ankita Lokhande declined a role in Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year 3. However, the actress has stepped forward to clarify that there is no truth to these reports.

It was initially reported by News18 that Ankita had been approached for a pivotal role in the upcoming digital series adaptation of Student Of The Year 3, helmed by Karan Johar. “Yes, Ankita was approached for Student Of The Year 3. I am not sure about the role she was offered but she was definitely asked if she could be a part of the SOTY franchise. However, she has rejected the offer and nobody knows the reason behind her decision,” a source was quoted as saying.

Despite the speculations, Ankita took to her Instagram Stories to debunk the claims, sharing a screenshot of the article and asserting that she was never associated with the project. She wrote, “Quite flattered by this rumour but this Koffee order wasn’t mine to begin with,” putting an end to the rumors surrounding her involvement in the show.

Moreover, Ankita’s publicity team has also refuted the reports, labeling them as false. According to her team, Ankita was never in consideration for the project.

As for Student Of The Year 3, Karan Johar announced in April that Reema Maya would direct the digital series, marking the third installment of the franchise. While there were rumors about casting Shanaya Kapoor and Ibrahim Ali Khan, no official confirmation has been made yet. The series is expected to stream on Disney+ Hotstar, following the success of the previous films in the franchise.

Meanwhile, Ankita Lokhande was last seen in the film Swatantra Veer Savarkar alongside Randeep Hooda, released on March 22. The movie, centered around Vinayak Damodar Savarkar and his contributions to the Indian Independence struggle, received positive reviews from audiences.
