Jennifer Lopez’s highly anticipated summer tour, This Is Me… Live, has been canceled. On May 31, Live Nation announced the decision, revealing that Lopez is taking time off to focus on her children, family, and close friends.
In a heartfelt statement to her fans on her OntheJLo website, Lopez expressed her deep regret over the cancellation. “I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary,” wrote the 54-year-old singer.
The tour, which was set to run from June to August, was intended to support her latest studio album, This Is Me…Now, released in February. Lopez reassured her fans that she plans to make it up to them in the future. “I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time…”
Ticket holders who purchased through Ticketmaster will receive automatic refunds. Those who bought tickets through third-party resale sites should contact the point of purchase for more details.
The tour’s cancellation comes amid reports of marital issues between Lopez and her husband, Ben Affleck. Though the couple was seen together recently, sources have told PEOPLE that they have been living separately in Los Angeles. Lopez has been busy preparing for the tour and promoting Atlas, while Affleck is filming The Accountant 2. The couple rekindled their early 2000s relationship in 2021 and married in 2022.
Despite the tour’s cancellation, Lopez has much to celebrate. Her Netflix film Atlas, released on May 24, has topped the charts in 55 countries. To promote the film, Lopez posed in front of a Netflix billboard in Los Angeles, urging viewers not to miss it. She also shared an Instagram clip showing her excitement about the billboard.
In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Lopez discussed her connection to the character in Atlas. “We are so different because she’s like … doesn’t wear any of her emotions. She’s so closed off and I am too much emotion sometimes,” Lopez said. “But at the same time, we are both very strong and sure of what they feel.”
