
The Kapoor family, including Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Neetu Kapoor, and Karisma Kapoor, were spotted at the Kalina airport in Mumbai on Tuesday, as they embarked on a special journey to Delhi. The family’s trip was to extend a personal invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the Raj Kapoor Film Festival, celebrating the legendary filmmaker-actor’s 100th birth anniversary on December 14.

For the travel day, the family members were dressed in their finest attire, with Alia Bhatt stunning in a red saree and matching blouse, while Ranbir Kapoor opted for a sleek black bandhgala and matching trousers. Kareena Kapoor chose a striking red and silver suit, while Saif Ali Khan was seen in a elegant white kurta, pyjama, beige jacket, and red shoes. Neetu Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor twinned in beautiful white and golden suits.
The Raj Kapoor Film Festival, organized by PVR INOX Limited and the Film Heritage Foundation, will be a grand celebration of the iconic filmmaker’s life and work. Spanning 101 cinemas across 34 cities from December 13 to 15, the festival will showcase Raj Kapoor’s timeless masterpieces on the big screen, including Awara (1951), Shree 420 (1955), Sangam (1964), and Mera Naam Joker (1970).

His remastered classics will offer both longtime fans and new audiences a chance to experience the grandeur of his visionary filmmaking. Raj Kapoor, a pioneer who opened Hindi cinema to a global audience, passed away on June 2, 1988, at the age of 63. He passed away barely a month after being honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in Delhi. He was also honoured with the Padma Bhushan.
