Suzlon Energy Ltd. has secured its first order from Oyester Green Hybrid One Pvt. Ltd., the company announced in an exchange filing. The order involves supplying 26 wind turbines, each with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW.
This project, totaling 81.9 MW, will be installed at Agar in Madhya Pradesh. The electricity generated will be supplied to Commercial & Industrial establishments and used under a captive model. According to Suzlon, a project of this size can power nearly 67,000 households and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 2.66 lakh tonnes annually.
The turbines ordered are from Suzlon’s 3 MW series, specifically the larger rated 3.15 MW, S144-140 models. Besides supplying the turbines, Suzlon will also handle operations and maintenance services post-commissioning.
This order marks Suzlon’s third major win in the last 10 days. On May 22, the company secured a 402 MW order from Juniper Green Energy, and just a few days later, a 551.25 MW order from the Aditya Birla Group.
For the financial year 2024, Suzlon delivered projects totaling 710 MW. While operations and maintenance remain a significant part of the business, the company expects this share to decrease as the manufacturing business expands.
Shares of Suzlon are currently trading 1% lower.
