Solarworld Energy Solutions has been awarded a significant contract for the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the Solapur Super Thermal Power Station. The contract, which was awarded by , is valued at approximately ₹314.26 crore, excluding taxes.

The project, titled ‘BESS Implementation at NTPC Thermal Power Stations (Lot-1)’, involves a substantial award capacity of 132 MW/264 MWh. is tasked with completing the facilities within a 15-month timeframe.

This contract marks a notable achievement for Solarworld Energy Solutions, as it underscores the company’s growing presence in the domestic energy sector. The project is a domestic undertaking, with NTPC Limited, formerly known as National Thermal Power Corporation Limited, serving as the awarding entity.
