Shree Cement has successfully commissioned its cement mill with a capacity of 3.50 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) at its integrated cement plant in Kodla, Karnataka. This marks the full commissioning of the plant.
The cement mill’s capacity was initially reported as 3.0 MTPA but was increased to 3.50 MTPA due to equipment optimisation and process improvements during project execution. With this development, the total cement capacity at the Kodla plant now stands at 6.50 MTPA.
Additionally, this commissioning has increased Shree Cement‘s overall cement capacity in India to nearly 70 MTPA, further strengthening its position in the industry.
