PNC Infratech Limited, in a joint venture with SPS Constructions India Private Limited, has emerged as the lowest bidder for a significant EPC project in Kanpur. The project, awarded by UP State Bridge Corporation Ltd (UPSBC), involves the construction of a 4-lane major bridge over the Ganga River, complete with footpaths, approach roads, and protection works. The quoted price for this project is ₹571.81 crore.
The joint venture, comprising PNC Infratech and SPS Constructions, will execute the project on an equal participation basis, with each company holding a 50% stake. The project is set to be completed within a 36-month timeframe. This domestic contract marks a notable achievement for PNC Infratech as it continues to expand its infrastructure footprint in India.
The project is designed to connect the Bhairoghat Dhobighat Jalkal Campus to Trans Ganga City and Kanpur City, enhancing connectivity and infrastructure in the region. The award of this contract follows the opening of price bids on 13 May 2026, where the joint venture was declared the first lowest bidder.
PNC Infratech has confirmed that there is no promoter or group company interest in the entity awarding the contract, and the transaction does not fall within related party transactions. Additionally, the company has adhered to its code of conduct concerning insider trading, with the trading window for dealing in its securities already closed for designated employees and connected persons.
