Patel Engineering has announced the appointment of Ms. Jana Chatra as an Additional Independent Director for a term of three years, commencing from 15 April 2026 to 14 April 2029. This appointment is subject to the approval of the company’s shareholders.
Ms. Chatra brings a wealth of experience to Patel Engineering, holding an MMS (MBA) from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, University of Mumbai, and a B.Sc. in Chemistry from Women’s Christian College, Chennai. She is currently a Partner at Excelus Capital Advisers and serves on the Board of BCH Electric Limited as an Independent Director.
Her extensive career includes roles in corporate strategy, business development, process redesign, risk management, and regulatory compliance across various industries such as financial services, industrial products, and offshoring. Ms. Chatra has also been involved in building client relationships and securing strategic mandates, managing multi-disciplinary teams across geographies.
Previously, she has held significant positions with consulting firms PwC and KPMG, and served as Senior Vice President-Global Sales, Knowledge Services at WNS Global Services. She also worked as Manager, Business Development at Zurich Risk Management Services. From 2020 to 2022, she was the Chairperson & Managing Director of Innovassynth Investments Limited and served as an Independent Director on the Board of Cemindia Projects Ltd.
The company has confirmed that Ms. Chatra is not related to any other directors of Patel Engineering and is not debarred from holding the office of Director by any SEBI Order or other authority.
