Oil India Limited’s wholly owned subsidiary, OIL Green Energy Limited (OGEL), has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Limited (NRL) to collaborate on the development, procurement, and supply of renewable energy. The agreement, signed on 20th April 2026, focuses on meeting group captive energy requirements.

The MoU was formalised by , General Manager of OGEL, and , General Manager (Technical Services) at NRL. The signing ceremony was attended by the Chairman and Managing Director of Limited, who also serves as the Chairman of NRL, along with the Managing Director of NRL, directors from both companies, and senior officials.

This collaboration represents a significant step in OGEL and Oil India’s strategic efforts to integrate renewable energy into their operations. It aims to diversify and expand OGEL’s renewable energy portfolio, aligning with Oil India Limited’s target to achieve net zero emissions by 2040. Additionally, it supports the Government of India’s broader goal of reaching net zero emissions by 2070.
