Nuvoco Vistas Corporation has announced plans to set up a bulk cement terminal in Viramgam, Sachana, Gujarat. The terminal, approved by the company’s board on April 14, 2026, will feature a dedicated railway siding and a handling capacity of approximately 1.5 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA).
The new facility aims to enhance Nuvoco Vistas‘ operational efficiency by enabling the unloading, storage, and dispatch of both loose and packed cement. This strategic distribution hub is expected to significantly expand the company’s market reach across Gujarat.
The commissioning of the terminal is targeted for the financial year 2027-2028, aligning with the company’s growth strategy to strengthen its presence in the region.
The board meeting, which resulted in this significant decision, commenced at 5:30 p.m. and concluded at 8:20 p.m.
