NTPC Limited has announced the commissioning of new solar power capacities totalling 180 MW across two major projects in India. This development was disclosed by Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

The Bhadla Solar PV Project, located in Phalodi, , has seen its third and final part capacity of 75 MW become operational as of 25th March 2026. This marks the completion of the 500 MW project, which is a significant step in NTPC’s renewable energy expansion strategy.

In addition, the Khavda-II Solar PV Project in has added a fifth part capacity of 105 MW, effective from 29th March 2026. This project is part of a larger 1200 MW initiative, further solidifying NTPC’s commitment to increasing its renewable energy footprint.

With these new additions, NTPC’s total installed capacity now stands at 88,889 MW, while its commercial capacity reaches 87,809 MW. These expansions underscore NTPC’s ongoing efforts to enhance its renewable energy portfolio and contribute to India’s sustainable energy goals.
