NTPC has announced the commencement of commercial operations for 100 MW out of its 176 MW Solar PV Project located at Ramagundam, Telangana. The project achieved successful commissioning and began operations from 00:00 hours on 2nd May 2026.
This advancement contributes to NTPC‘s growing renewable energy portfolio, reflecting its commitment to sustainable energy solutions. The operationalisation of this solar capacity is a significant milestone for the company, reinforcing its position as a leading energy provider in India.
With the addition of this 100 MW capacity, NTPC’s total installed capacity now stands at 89,805 MW, while its commercial capacity reaches 88,725 MW. This expansion is part of NTPC’s broader strategy to enhance its renewable energy footprint and support India’s transition to cleaner energy sources.
NTPC’s focus on renewable energy is aligned with the Indian government’s objectives to increase the share of renewables in the country’s energy mix.
