NTPC has addressed recent media reports suggesting the company is exploring the development of two nuclear power units in the Banka district of . In a statement, clarified that it has not initiated any feasibility studies for such a project in Bihar.

The company stated that it routinely explores various options and locations as part of its growth and diversification strategy. This includes evaluating potential sites for nuclear power projects across several states, including Bihar. However, NTPC emphasised that these activities are preliminary and exploratory in nature, and do not constitute a concluded or material event that would require disclosure under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015.

NTPC reiterated its commitment to comply with applicable regulatory provisions and assured that any significant developments would be disclosed as required.
