Jubilant Industries Ltd announced the unexpected demise of its Managing Director and CEO, Manu Ahuja, on December 9. The official statement on the BSE exchange expressed deep sympathy and condolences to his family, acknowledging that Ahuja’s sudden passing is an irreparable loss to the company.

The exchange filing conveyed the regrettable news of Mr. Manu Ahuja’s sudden demise, highlighting his role as the Whole-time Director and CEO of JACPL. The filing also stated that the entire team at JACPL, including the directors and management, deeply appreciates the valuable contributions made by Ahuja during his tenure.


Mr. Ahuja’s appointment in May 2018 was met with enthusiasm by the Jubilant board, which expressed confidence that he would elevate the business to greater heights, as stated on the company’s website.

Manu Ahuja, an alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur and Thapar Institute of Engineering, Patiala, brought a wealth of experience from diverse businesses and industries in India and Southeast Asia. Prior to joining Jubilant Industries, he served as the President of South Asia at ASSA ABLOY Asia Pacific for over seven years, overseeing 18 countries in India, SAARC, and ASEAN. Ahuja initiated his career in 1991 with Coats Viyella and held leadership positions in companies such as Whirlpool and Akzo Nobel.
