Hindustan Zinc Limited has announced a strategic partnership with CMR Green Technologies Ltd. to establish a zinc alloy manufacturing facility at Zinc Park in Rajasthan. This collaboration aims to bolster the industrial ecosystem at Zinc Park, which is India’s first integrated hub for zinc-based industrial applications.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Hindustan Zinc and CMR Green Technologies will see the latter set up a facility focused on producing high-quality, low-emission zinc alloys. These alloys are essential for various industries, including automotive, infrastructure, and consumer goods. The partnership is expected to enhance downstream value addition of zinc, promote sustainable metal processing, and support India’s self-reliance in industrial materials.
Zinc Park, developed by Hindustan Zinc in collaboration with the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO), aims to be a renewable energy-powered hub for zinc manufacturing. The park’s development aligns with Rajasthan’s commitment to industrial growth and innovation, providing a platform for MSMEs and large-scale enterprises involved in galvanizing, die-casting, and related applications.
Commenting on the partnership, Arun Misra, CEO of Hindustan Zinc, highlighted the strategic vision of Zinc Park to drive industrial growth and sustainability through zinc-based applications. CMR Green Technologies, known for its non-ferrous metal recycling and alloy production capabilities, will play a crucial role in this initiative.
