Hindustan Copper has approved a significant project to construct a new 3.0 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) copper concentrate plant at its Malanjkhand Copper Project in Madhya Pradesh. The board of directors sanctioned the proposal during their 461st meeting held on 30 March 2026.
The construction contract has been awarded to Ardee Engineering Limited, which will undertake the project on a turnkey basis. The construction is expected to span over a period of 27 months, with a financial implication of ₹469.55 crore plus applicable GST.
This development marks a strategic expansion for Hindustan Copper, aiming to enhance its production capacity and strengthen its position in the copper industry. The board meeting, which commenced at 10:30 AM and concluded at 03:45 PM, was pivotal in finalising this decision.
The announcement was made in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
