HFCL has entered into a significant five-year supply agreement valued at approximately ₹10,159 crores for the supply of Optical Fiber Cables (OFC) through its overseas subsidiary. The contract, with a global multinational corporation, marks a milestone as ‘s first long-term, multi-year OFC supply arrangement.

The agreement requires HFCL to supply a minimum quantity of multi-million fibre kilometres of high-quality, high-fibre-count OFC each calendar year from 2026 to 2028, with an automatic extension to 2029 and 2030. Purchase orders will be issued periodically based on project and specification requirements, and HFCL’s subsidiary is authorised to supply OFC to the customer’s assignees and affiliates.

This international contract, set to be executed by December 2030, is valued at approximately USD 1.10 billion, equivalent to ₹10,159 crores. HFCL’s competitive positioning in the global OFC market is expected to strengthen significantly due to this engagement, given the limited number of manufacturers with the necessary technology, precision, and scale for such complex products.
