Thermax Limited’s wholly owned subsidiary, Babcock & Wilcox Energy Solutions Limited (TBWES), has secured a substantial contract valued at approximately ₹1600 crore. The contract involves the supply and supervision of installation and commissioning of a boiler package for a 1 × 800 MW ultra-supercritical thermal power plant located in Anuppur district, , India.

The contract was awarded by M/s and was officially signed on March 27, 2026, at 8:05 p.m. IST. The project is set to be executed in alignment with the defined project milestones and delivery schedules as stipulated in the contract.

The scope of the contract encompasses design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, supervision of installation and commissioning, and the conduct of performance guarantee tests for the boiler package. The project is classified as a domestic contract, with no involvement of international entities.

It has been confirmed that there is no interest from the promoter or promoter group of Thermax in the entity awarding the contract, and the contract does not fall within related party transactions.
