The Great Eastern Shipping Company (GE Shipping) has successfully delivered its 2002 built Very Large Gas Carrier (VLGC) ‘Jag Vishnu’ to the buyers. The vessel was contracted for sale in the third quarter of the financial year 2026.
Following this transaction, GE Shipping’s current owned fleet now consists of 40 vessels. This fleet is comprised of 26 tankers, which include 5 crude tankers, 17 product tankers, and 4 LPG carriers. Additionally, the company owns 14 dry bulk carriers, which include 2 capesize, 9 kamsarmax, 1 ultramax, and 2 supramax vessels, collectively aggregating 3.20 million deadweight tonnage (dwt).
In addition to the sale, GE Shipping has also contracted to purchase a secondhand kamsarmax dry bulk carrier. This acquisition is expected to be completed by the first quarter of the financial year 2027.
