Enviro Infra Engineers has been awarded a significant contract by NTPC Limited for the execution of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects in Uttar Pradesh and Assam. The contract, valued at ₹405.71 crore, marks a notable achievement for the company in the renewable energy sector.
The awarded contract is on an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) basis, involving the implementation of BESS at the Tanda Super Thermal Power Station in Uttar Pradesh and the Bongaigaon Thermal Power Station in Assam. The scope of work includes comprehensive annual maintenance following successful performance testing.
The contract specifies that the EPC package for supply, services, and annual maintenance for BESS implementation must be completed within 15 months from the commencement date. This will be followed by a comprehensive annual maintenance period of 11 years after the completion of the performance guarantee test.
Enviro Infra Engineers confirmed that the order was awarded by a domestic entity, NTPC Limited. The company also clarified that neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in NTPC, ensuring that the contract does not fall under related party transactions.
