Thangamayil Jewellery Limited on April 21 reported strong Akshaya Tritiya sales performance for FY27, with revenue surging significantly year-on-year despite elevated gold prices.
The company said it recorded revenue of ₹279.27 crore during Akshaya Tritiya this year, compared to ₹158.80 crore in the corresponding period last year, reflecting a robust growth of 75.87% on a YoY basis.
The strong topline growth came even as gold prices were higher by nearly 59% YoY during the festive period. In terms of volumes, the company sold 183.20 kg of gold, up from 159.11 kg in the previous year, marking a volume growth of 15.14% YoY.
Thangamayil also highlighted a sharp rise in non-gold revenue, which increased 61% to ₹17.99 crore during the occasion, compared to ₹11.17 crore in the same period last year, indicating improving traction across product categories beyond gold.
The performance underscores resilient consumer demand during Akshaya Tritiya, one of the most significant festivals for gold purchases in India, with both value and volume growth remaining strong despite price headwinds.
