BEML Limited has secured a significant order from the Ministry of Defence for the supply of trawl assemblies, with the contract valued at approximately ₹590 crore.

In a regulatory filing dated April 21, 2026, the company said the order falls under its normal course of business and has been awarded by the Ministry of Defence. The contract pertains to the supply of trawl assemblies, which are typically used in military operations for mine-clearing and enhancing mobility of armoured vehicles in hostile terrains.

The order marks another addition to BEML’s defence segment order book, reinforcing its position as a key supplier of specialised equipment to India’s armed forces. The company operates across defence & aerospace, mining & construction, and rail & metro segments, with defence continuing to be a critical growth driver.

While the company did not disclose execution timelines or margin details, such orders are generally seen as strategic given their importance in strengthening indigenous defence manufacturing capabilities.

The development comes amid continued government focus on boosting domestic defence production under initiatives aimed at enhancing self-reliance in critical military equipment.
