Tembo Global Industries Limited has announced a key development in its defence business, as its subsidiary, Tembo Classic Engineering Private Limited (TCEPL), has received a licence from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, to manufacture ammunition of various calibres.
The update was disclosed under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, indicating a material business development for the company.
TCEPL, formerly known as Tembo Defence Products Private Limited, will now be authorised to undertake manufacturing activities in line with the conditions specified under the licence and applicable regulatory frameworks. The approval allows the company to enter the regulated ammunition manufacturing space, a segment that is closely monitored and requires strict compliance.
This development marks a notable step for Tembo Global as it expands its footprint in the defence and security manufacturing sector. The company has been working towards strengthening its presence in this segment, and the licence provides a formal pathway to scale operations.
According to the company, TCEPL is preparing to commence commercial production of arms and ammunition as per its planned schedule. However, timelines and execution will remain subject to regulatory adherence and operational readiness.
