The Tata Power Company Limited has announced a strategic collaboration with Salesforce to digitally transform its rapidly expanding rooftop solar, EV charging and smart home solutions businesses. The partnership aims to build a secure and intelligent clean energy ecosystem powered by artificial intelligence, automation and data-driven insights.
The initiative supports Tata Power’s long-term clean energy roadmap and aligns with India’s broader net-zero ambitions. By integrating advanced digital technologies across its renewable energy operations, the company plans to accelerate growth, strengthen customer and partner engagement and improve operational efficiency across the renewable energy value chain.
As part of the collaboration, Tata Power has deployed Agentforce Sales, Agentforce Service and Agentforce Marketing across its renewable energy subsidiary Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited. The Salesforce platform will power AI-enabled workflows designed to enhance operational visibility, improve decision-making and deliver seamless omnichannel experiences for customers and partners.
The deployment of Agentforce Sales and Agentforce Service will form the foundation of Tata Power’s omnichannel engagement model. Salesforce will act as a digital backbone for the company’s high-growth renewable energy businesses by enabling end-to-end digitisation of customer and partner journeys. The platform will support streamlined lead management, improved inventory visibility, process automation and real-time performance tracking, helping the company deliver better transparency and operational efficiency.
Tata Power has also developed a proprietary deep learning and agentic intelligence layer on top of the Salesforce platform. This system enables a zero-touch quality and safety validation process for installations. The digital capability allows instant on-site verification and automated warranty generation, strengthening quality assurance and delivery standards for the company’s Solaroof rooftop solar solutions.
The collaboration comes at a time when India’s rooftop solar market is witnessing rapid growth, driven by supportive government policies such as the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana. Tata Power’s residential rooftop solar segment has recorded more than 200% growth over the past two financial years.
The company’s broader solar portfolio has also expanded significantly, with revenues increasing fivefold between FY2020 and FY2025. The strong performance reflects rising demand for clean energy solutions, growing consumer awareness and Tata Power’s digital-led execution strategy across the renewable energy sector.
