Sterlite Technologies Ltd (STL) has secured a multi-year Product Award Letter from a hyperscale customer for supplying optical connectivity products for AI-led data centre infrastructure in the United States.

The contract, awarded to one of STL’s subsidiaries, has a potential value of around USD 1.11 billion, or nearly ₹10,656 crore at an exchange rate of ₹96 per dollar. The agreement will run till March 2029, with phased purchase orders expected between FY27 and FY29.

The deal comes amid rising global investments in AI infrastructure, where hyperscalers are rapidly expanding high-performance data centres requiring advanced fibre connectivity and ultra-low latency networks.

STL said the order involves customer-specific optical networking solutions and includes a reciprocal risk-sharing arrangement for supply or demand disruptions.

The company has been increasing its focus on AI-driven connectivity solutions through its recently launched STL Neuralis AI Data Center portfolio, which includes ultra-high-density fibre systems and AI-ready cabling infrastructure.

The order strengthens STL’s positioning in the fast-growing AI data centre ecosystem and enhances long-term revenue visibility.
