Pritish Nandy Communications Limited informed stock exchanges on Tuesday, December 24, about the outcome of a long-running commercial recovery suit filed against Saboo Films Pvt Ltd and Mrs Rita Rahul Rawail.
According to the company’s exchange filing, the City Civil Court at Mazgaon, Mumbai, through an order dated October 31, 2025, has directed Saboo Films Pvt Ltd (Defendant No. 1) to pay Rs 1.5 crore as principal along with interest calculated from the date of filing of the suit in 2005. The total amount payable, including interest, stands at Rs 2,47,29,911, the company said.
However, Pritish Nandy Communications clarified that it is in the process of challenging the court order, as the decree has been passed only against Saboo Films Pvt Ltd, while Mrs Rita Rahul Rawail (Defendant No. 2) has been exonerated under the same order.
The company stated that it intends to seek recovery of the dues jointly and severally from both defendants by challenging the decree, as part of its ongoing legal course of action.
The update was disclosed in compliance with SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, the filing added.
