Precision Camshafts Limited has announced the successful commissioning of its 14 MWp captive solar power plant at Mangalwedha in Solapur, Maharashtra. The development has been disclosed under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
The newly commissioned solar facility forms part of the company’s ongoing renewable energy expansion at the same location, where it already operates a 15 MWp captive solar power plant. With this addition, Precision Camshafts’ total installed captive solar capacity at Mangalwedha has increased to 29 MWp.
The company said the commissioning of the additional solar capacity is expected to lower electricity costs associated with its production activities. By increasing its reliance on renewable energy, Precision Camshafts aims to improve energy efficiency while reducing exposure to conventional power costs.
The expanded solar power capacity is also aligned with the company’s sustainability initiatives. The use of captive solar energy is expected to support green power generation and contribute to a reduction in the company’s overall carbon footprint, reinforcing its focus on environmentally responsible operations.
